Edmund Hooper. A hard, selfish, terriblycruelchild who will do literally anything to keep “Warings” to himself. He terrorizesKingshaw to such an extent that the latterkills himself in the end. His fatherthinks that he he has the samecoldness as his late wife. He is a flat character.
Charles Kingshaw. A lonely, sensitive boy who feels that there is no place for him at “Warings”. He only feels at home at school and that too is...
