Explanation of title:
Jamaica inn is a sort of a hotel and café in one. The only thing is that there are coming almost no customers. The only customers are thieves. The whole story is about this hotel.Setting:
This story is set in 19th century and plays in the Jamaica Inn.Description of main characters:
Mary Yellan: Is a quiet person, is not easily frightened and wants to search thinks outJoss Merlyn: Is Mary's uncle. He is also a thief and a killer. Joss drinks too much and is often drunk. His hotel is used for a hidden place for goods.
Aunt Patience: Is a very quite person. She fairs uncle Joss the most. But she is not leaving hem. If Joss is drunk she takes care of him.
Jem Merlyn: Jem is Jos brother. He is stealing horses from others and then he sells it to other peoples. Sometime the same people from who he has stolen the horses.
Francis Devey: Francis is the Vicar of Altarnun. He is a kind person and has taken care of Mary.
MS Basset: Is a police officer. He tries to arrest Joss Merlyn. The only thing is that he does not find evidence
The padler. The padler is one of Joss helpers. He transports goods from the one location to another.
