Summary and style:
The book is written in a fantasy world, so that’s the style: fantasy. It is logical that it is not true that a couple of pigs can rule a hole farm.
The book starts with a drunk mister Jones, owner of the Manor Farm.
A old boar (his name is Major, he is the leader over all the animals) tells the other animals that they can kick mister Jones of his farm.
Old Major dies and three other pigs (named: Napoleon, Snowball and Squealer) take his leadership over. The animals chase mister Jones away.
The pigs have made a system named: Animalism, they say: All Animals are equal.
It goes very good with the farm and everyone is happy. They defend Animal farm against mister Jones and his friends.
But then get the pigs a fight which of them is the leader. A election was held and was about to win Snowball it. Napoleon accused Snowball of sabotage and spionage. Napoleon wins the election and lets all the animals work very hard the falls dogs help him with his dictatorship.
Boxer the very strong horse, works himself almost to death and Napoleon sells him to the slaughterer when he has become a useless horse…
The farm gets much richer but the ‘normal’ animals do not notice anything of it. Only the pigs have a nice live, the other animals even don’t get normal food.
The animals have only one proud: they are the only farm in the world ruled by animals.
Meanwhile Napoleon has made an agreement with the neighbour farmers.
He lives in the house of mister Jones, wears cloth, drinks, talks and walks...
