Introduction.

On Tuesday, january the 19th and january the 26th I saw Jane Eyre into 2 parts on television on the Netherland Channel.

The film is a romantic love affair between the governess, Jane and her master, Mr. Rochester. It’s a screen version of the book written by Charlotte Brönte, a famous English novelist, living from 1816 to 1855. The book is a strong autobiographical novel. Jane Eyre is the first emancipated woman in the English literature. The film is directed by Robert Young in Great Brittan in 1997, but the original version goes back to 1944. The film starring Samantha Morton as Jane Eyre and Ciaran Hinds as Edward Rochester.

 

Description.

The film is set in the last century in Yorkshire. The film starts with a flash back of the childhood. The very young Jane is orphaned and lives with her aunt. As she is a child who doesn’t mince her words, they cannot manage together. So at her tenth,...
