7. Summary:
The story takes place on the Manor Farm. Mr. Jones is the owner of the farm and treats his animals very badly and doesn’t feed them enough. One night the animals come together. The pig Major, the leader of the animals, comes with an idea to remove Mr. Jones from the farm one day and says that the animals should take over the power. He also says that he will die soon. All the animals agree with the plan, they are very happy and sing the song “Beast of England”. Three days later Major dies. Life goes on, but the animals keep thinking about Major’s ideas, they call it “Animalism”.
One day they don’t get food from the farmer and the animals get angry. They remember Major’s plan and start to remove mr. Jones. The plan works en Mr. and Mrs. Jones leave the farm. The animals are now the owner of the farm, they call it: ‘’Animal Farm’’. Napoleon and Snowball became the leaders of the animals. They made seven rules: ‘’ The Seven Commandments’’:
