Maincharters

The mainpersons in the book are people who live in a valley in front of the Hudson river. The village is called Tarry town. Tarry town is a fishing-and trading-village. Here are the name's of the mainpersons and a description of what they are:

Sleepy Hollow Sleepy Hollow is a ghost who scares people. The legend says the following about Sleepy Hollow: Sleepy Hollow is a ghost who holds his head in his hand and rides on a horseback.
Mr van Tassel
Mr van Tassel is a man who´s looking for Sleepy Hollow. He has never found him. Mr van Tassel teaches the children of the village english and other things. This is something he loves to do.
Katrina Katrina is the doughter of Mr van Tassel. Mr van Tassel likes her verry much. He wanted to marrie her. He knows that that´s inpossible. He goes with her to the disco and he does other things with her.
The kids The kids are verry happy. They have a good live. They can watch t.v. and can play outside. They also do dangerous things.

Time

The book has been written in the past. It was about 1400. The schippers who came fom the ocean with slow ships went to England because they were verry hungry and verry ill. They went to a hotel and travelled to Holland and other countries in Europe 3 days later.


Where

The story place in America. In a little village in front of the Hudson-river. The village is called Tarry town. Next to the village is a valley. In the west of the river is the sea. The vally was verry large. As large as the "veluwe." There are many bridges in the valley.
