The strange case of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde was written by Robert Louis Stevenson and was first published in 1886. The book is about the double personality of Dr Jeckyll and that everyone has an evil side that has to be dealt with and one must not temper with nature.
One of the main events of the book is when Mr Utterson hears a strange story about a strange man, Mr Hyde, and decides to find out who this figure is after he sees that one of his good friends will let him inherit all his possessions " If he be Mr Hyde , thought he , than I’ll be Mr Seek “
The main event and also the climax of the book is when Mr Hyde walks into the house of Mr Lanyon and when he drinks a potion he suddenly changes into his good friend Dr Jeckyll. "He put the glass to his lips, and drank at one gulp. A cry followed; he reeled, staggered, clutched at the table and held on , staring with injected eyes, gasping with open mouth; and as I looked, there came a change- he seemed to swell- "Oh god" 1 screamed for there before my eves stood Henry Jeckyll. "
The action takes place in London, England. The background is educated: Mr Utterson is a lawyer, Dr Jeckyll is a scientist. The environment is rich: Mr Utterson and Dr Jeckyll have a lot of servants. They don't have a religion.
lt. has no historical background and is fiction ( a person can't change into another person by taking a potion.)

" He makes a potion that causes him to become his other suppressed personality.
Mr (Edward) Hyde, the evil side of Dr Jeckyll, a small, muscled and ugly man by whom you can see the evil written on his face "He is not easy to describe. There is something wrong with his appearance; something displeasing, something downright detestable. I never saw a man I so disliked." He shares the same house with Dr. Jeckyll and Dr. Jeckyll's servants are told to do exactly as he pleases. He disappears once in a while, just like Dr. Jeckyll.
Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jeckyll are together a symbol for the struggle between...
